Knapp Creek Fire Department

Knapp Creek Fire Department, Inc. proudly protects 500 people living in an area of 20 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a rural area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status.

Knapp Creek Fire Department is located 6 miles south of Olean, N.Y. atop Rock City Hill. We are on the Pennsylvania, New York border which lets us work in mutual aid with several fire departments in both N.Y. and P.A.

We have a full service volunteer fire department with fire, rescue and ambulance assistance provided to the residents and visitors to our beautiful area of the Town of Allegany.

The Knapp Creek Volunteer Fire Department is funded by the Town of Allegany Fire Commissioners, donations by the public, and department fund raisers such as an annual ATV Dice Run and raffles. We also have an Annual Ham and Turkey Raffle Party held the first Saturday in November.

We are always looking for new members! There are no residency requirements and welcome anyone who would like to help. Our department meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm at the fire hall. If you are interested in membership you are welcome to attend or contact our Fire Chief, Don Peters at 716-372-4523.
